What is Kelly Criterion in betting?

Kelly Criterion is a formula that suggests stake size based on odds, edge, and bankroll.

Why use half Kelly or quarter Kelly?

Reduced Kelly staking lowers volatility and drawdowns compared to full Kelly sizing.
